   Meet Dr. Geetanjali Chugh

I was thriving as a clinical psychologist in New Delhi after initially following a traditional academic path grounded in research and science. When I suffered significant personal losses - of identity in relationships, of stability and the known, of the relationship itself - I uprooted myself and moved from India to the U.S. At an age when people settle down, I was unsettling, navigating the uncertainties of loss and transformation.

My world expanded after moving to the US. I obtained an MSW and a license (LCSW) to practice in New York State. I gained a broader perspective of the individual embedded in, influenced by and influencing a larger environmental context, such as social structures and policies. NYC challenged me and endowed me with the skills to work with a culturally, economically, and demographically diverse population.
As my experience evolved, so did my desire for greater freedom and the exploration of holistic and integrative healing modalities. This journey led me back to India and onward to Costa Rica, where I deepened my understanding of diverse traditions and approaches to mental health. Today, my practice is a synthesis of these experiences—rooted in the pursuit of personal and professional fulfillment while honoring the enduring traditions of family and relationships.
